The Gypsy Winery, established in 1953, was
restored, re-equipped and renamed as Gitana
Winery. The three terroirs of the winery are
the south-western slopes of the fertile hills in
the south, near the Black Sea and the Codru
zone. Here they pay special attention to the
autochthonous varieties Rara Neagră and
Feteasca Regală.
Cryomaceration is applied as a method to create
white wines, in order to extract the maximum
amount of aromas from the skin of grapes.
These are southern, wonderful wines with an
Italian character. Their “flagship” wine is Lupi.
