“Bahu Winery” is a small family business founded in 2020 by two young winemakers. The winery takes its name both from the village where the business was established and from the Roman god of wine and vineyards. “Bahu” is a young winery, yet it has very old vineyards, with some vines over 50 years old, a rare phenomenon in the country. Grapes from such vines produce wines with a very high extraction potential. The rich old vines give the wine strength and distinctive character. Bahu wines, with an emphasis on the Codru terroir, are structured, very fresh, yet expressive. Wines made from traditional varieties such as Sauvignon, Riesling, Traminer, and Cabernet Franc have strong aging potential, reflecting the winemakers’ style and an innovative signature.
