„Vinaria Javgur” was founded in 1957, in a village called Javgur in southern Moldova.This amazing place is located in a historical area called “Upper Trajan’s Wall”, which crosses Moldova from the Prut River to the Nistru River. From hand-picked grapes on an area of 87 ha of vineyards, lovingly cared for, true bottled poems like Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet, etc are born.
„Vinaria Javgur” is part of the Protected Geographical Indication “Stefan Voda”. Our aim is to make wines which mirror the close ties between human and nature, using modern technologies while respecting the traditions of past generations.
At „Vinaria Javgur” making wine is not only hard work, art, skills, but also a lifestyle with traditions handed down from generation to generation. Scutaru family believe that their love and passion in winemaking makes philosophy in every glass of wine.
