14:00–15:15 — Stroentsy
Vineyard Terraces and the Tower of the Winds
Stroentsy is one of the most picturesque places in northern Transnistria.
Historic vineyard terraces stretch along the steep slopes of the Dniester Valley and are associated with the name of Field Marshal Peter Christian von Wittgenstein.
The main symbol of Stroentsy is the Tower of the Winds, built by Emilia Petrovna Wittgenstein-Trubetskaya in memory of her father.
From the high cliff, a magnificent panorama of the Dniester Valley opens before you.
Above the Tower of the Winds lies an ancient settlement of the Getae dating back to antiquity.
Another historical landmark of Stroentsy is a 19th-century water mill, built according to the design of Transylvanian engineer Georgy Panteleevich Mazgan.
But the true charm of this place lies in the combination of history and breathtaking landscapes: vineyard terraces, rocky slopes, green hills and the emerald waters of the Dniester.
Duration of the visit — 1 hour 15 minutes.
15:15–15:45 — Transfer to Rashkov
15:45–17:00 — Rashkov
One street. Several cultures. Several historical eras.
Rashkov is one of the oldest settlements in the region. Its first written mention dates back to 1402.
Along a small historic street, several landmarks preserve different chapters of Rashkov’s past:
an 18th-century Catholic church;
an old Jewish house;
a synagogue;
the Intercession Church;
the “Panska Kyrnytsia” spring, also known as the “Tears of Ruxandra”.
“Tears of Ruxandra” is an ancient spring surrounded by historical mysteries and local legends.
In 1661, Ruxandra, daughter of Moldavian ruler Vasile Lupu and wife of Tymofiy Khmelnytsky, son of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, became the owner of Rashkov. She lived here and managed her estates for approximately 13 years.
According to local legend, Ruxandra deeply mourned the death of her husband and her tragic fate. It is said that the spring appeared at the place where her tears fell to the ground, and its water has continued to delight visitors ever since.
Duration of the walk — 1 hour 15 minutes.
17:00–17:30 — Transfer to Beloochi
17:30–19:00 — “Cherry Orchard” Estate — the finale of the journey
At “Cherry Orchard”, the sightseeing part of the journey comes to an end with warm hospitality: dinner, relaxation and conversation.
A long day comes to an end around a large table, where impressions gradually turn into memories.
21:00 — Return to Chișinău
A journey from modern winemaking and impressive landscapes to historical monuments, local traditions, legends and stories of the region.
