Carlevana Winery is a full-cycle wine facility. They monitor the full process of winemaking here - from caring for vine
to bottling. The landscape of the region protects vineyards from winter frosts and summer drought. The key grape
varieties are Riesling, Sauvignon and Rara Neagră. Also, there are unusual varieties for Moldova, such as Sauvignon
Gris and Pinot Gris.
Carlevana’s winemaker experiments with blends. The company was the first one in Moldova to produce Ice Wine and
sepage – a blend of five varieties. Orange wines and port wine are produced here. You may pay attention to their Black
Raven line of wines. These are balanced red and characteristic varietal wines.
Carlevana Winery offers guided tours to the winery and wine tastings, and a restaurant with a beautiful panoramic
veranda.
