18 months in French oak barrels. Ambitiously packaged in a heavy bottle. Brooding sweet blackcurrant fruit on the nose with some spicy overtones. The palate has dense, rich fruit with nice purity, but also quite a bit of spicy oak. Well made in the international style, but a bit too oaky at the moment. Some will love it, though
