In the picturesque heart of the Codru region, in the Republic of Moldova, in the village of Hirova, Călărași district, a special story of love for the land, vineyard, and wine was born in 2020 — Vinăria Aproape, continuing a family tradition.
The First Steps
It all started with 24 hectares of carefully and skillfully planted Sauvignon Blanc. This path was not chosen by chance but with a clear goal: to produce select, aromatic wines of exceptional quality.
The Vineyard’s Diversity
The vision quickly expanded, and the vineyard grew to include an impressive variety of grape types:
White wines: Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Riesling Reihn, Viognier, Fetească Regală, Muscat Ottonel
Red wines: Fetească Neagră, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot
French Expertise
A key moment in the winery’s development was the collaboration with a French consultant, who helped improve technological processes. By following classic French techniques, Vinăria Aproape raised its winemaking standards.
