Nimorinca is a strong drink, produced through a meticulous process of fermentation and distillation of the fruits. This type of drink has been known for centuries under different names all over the world: Palinka from Hungary, Slivovica from Slovakia, Schnaps from Germany, Rakia from the Balkans, Tuica from Romania, Slivovitz from the Czech Republic.
All are drinks similar to the special Nimorinca fruit brandy, and the most similar is the famous French drink Eau-de-Vie. Eau-de-vie is a strong fruit drink, which translates as "water of life".
