Winery’s history
Starting with 2015, the winery with secular traditions - Chateau Cristi – reconstitutes the wine recipes of the Cristi family. The winery is situated 35 km from Moldovan capital city, Chisinau, and is equipped with the latest technology to produce the wines of the highest quality.
Our vineyards are situated near the Gavanoasa village, which is in the South of Moldova, in the famous Valul lui Traian region. Their square is more than 130 Ha. The grapes from this widely known zone are notable by their refined bouquet, floral and fruity aromas, vibrant color, and excellent taste, which is transmitted to wine.
It is for two years now since reborn Chateau Cristi winery pleases the wine connoisseurs with the most excellent products.
Chateau Cristi’s symbols
The personality of Vladimir Christi is associated with several important political events and visionary government decisions.
His name is also inscribed in gold letters in the history of local winemaking. A politician and a socially relevant person, the mayor of Chisinau, a fiery patriot and a talented winemaker, who passed the tradition of producing the highest quality wine through generations – that is Vladimir Cristi, and now the wines of his name are widely known around the world.
A century later, Chateau Cristi revives the traditions of the noble Christi family with the same commitment to the highest standards of quality and love for winemaking.
