The passion for wine was passed down from father to son in the “Maurt” company. The wine enterprise was established in 1996, by the founder Aurel Morar, the current CEO of the company. “Maurt” is now one of the biggest wine producers in Moldova, with over 150 employees. The company produces annually over 10 million bottles (still wines, sparkling wines, balsams, liqueurs, vodka and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks). Its brands are beloved by the locals, but also well-known to consumers from East to West, in many countries where „Maurt” exports its products. Both, its vineyards and the modern winemaking factory of “Maurt are located in Nisporeni - a picturesque location with hardworking people, whose passion for making excellent wines runs through their veins for generations. Here the vines have a special terroir, being stretched over sunny vineyards and caressed by an ideal climate.
